Wind was another work influenced by the place where we lived. One year a hurricane moved across the Gulf of Mexico, then inland sweeping north through the woodland area we called home. The winds were powerful with many tentacles swirling about in tornado like forms. These inspired a wall sculpture that allows the viewer to encounter strength, force, power, and chaos. The materials were selected to portray those dynamics…steel for the power and strength, copper threads reflecting how fragile life is in the storm and chaos.
