About The Artwork
There is a genre in the world of wood carving called Forest spirits that speaks of trees as forest keepers and hawks as forest spirits keepers. The dwarves are the workers whose job it is to keep the forest as a well-oiled system and make sure that nothing interferes with its work. I really like to sculpt dwarves and give each dwarf different dimensions and expressions and imagine his role in the forest. was carved from a local acacia wood.
