Born Shanghai China March 9 1948 "I lived in the USA and Paraguay SA until 1970 when I exiled myself as a political dissident from the USA to Canada. Currently, I reside and work 10kms inland, on the mid Lake Huron coastline in southern Ontario Canada". "My design intentions are sparse, without symbolism, representation or iconography. My current sculptural structures, for intimate gardens and other contemplative spaces, are manifestations of cast-concrete, oxidized iron, glass and stone. I have identified the sensibility as zenbrutalism. Zen being simple austerity, an attitude encouraging self-less tranquility. Brutalism being a movement in architecture that asserted the primacy of elements, space, structure and materials exposed in their untrammelled form".
