About The Artwork
was on a very intense cultural exchange living with a tribal community within the Amazonian rain forest. This sculptural installation/performance piece invites the audience to a cultural experience where I transmit some of my experiences using foreign language, form and music, (a drummer was also part of the experience), as well as therapeutic touch and movement. The audience experiences the performance and then watches the transition back into my native culture and landscape. The performance setting was very low light, similar to a forest at night.

Themes relate to many places undergoing change, however originate from my observations of landscapes throughout southern Ontario, some examples; forest fragmentatuon and urban sprawl, "over-constructed" residences and their associated impact on the landscape, alternative energy harvesting in rural areas with mega wind turbines.
