About Mervi Soramies

A woman from Finland who spent her early years in Frensh school "Lycée franco-finlandais d'Helsinki". Living in a "different culture" an atmosphere that shaped my attitude and my "old" soul.
Despite of my artist soul and that I've painted more than 20 years, I've worked also about 25 years at ICT sector. They both balance my interest.

Some examples of the artists that I admire: Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Paul Delaroche, Salvador Dali, Ivan Aivazovsky and Anselm Kiefer (German). Artist must destroy so she/he can create new.

In my art I want to find some mystisism and excitement. My subjects often shows a human and the complicated life. It is close symbolism but at the same time expressionism and abstract time to time. I like to challenge the viewer to find something behind the scenes.
Come into my mind!
