Paula Aranoa

“My work is nurtured in the mystery of the veiled, the unnoticed, and the
sensitive, far from the purely rational.
My starting point is openness to the event: the unexpected within the expected
constitutes, for me, the greatest novelty.
I collect tiny fragments of everyday life that seem to escape the line. I sew,
interweave, embroider, and write on them. I add layers with the intention of
making them endure.
In my world, mystery changes place every day: it is the character I want to point
out.

Paula Aranoa (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1966) is a photographer and visual poet, trained in Philosophy (UCA) and Fashion Design (Barcelona).
