About The Artwork
This was an illustration for the second album of the Croatian band "Svemir" ("Universe"). The song is very nostalgic and kinda blue. In my painting you can see the influence of a tribal cultures such as Aborigins. I think that a need to be loved and to be held in protective hands ( of God, Mother nature etc.) is universal and very strong. Maybe that is why I used tribal ornaments. I wanted to show that kind of vulnerability and need to belong somewhere.

I'm a self-thought artist from Croatia. I`ve been painting and drawing since childhood. I worked as a Kindergarten teacher for 12 years. I still organize children's art workshops and I work as a children's art educator. I also write children's poetry and illustrate books, poetry etc. My main inspiration comes from observing my inner states of consciousness, emotions, natural processess. Much of my art comes as a sort of an authomatic trance-state drawing. That enabels me to use art as a therapeutic and discovering process. I am still learning, always in search for new techniques and ways to express myself.
