About The Artwork

Infinity and Beyond; The Star (2020), is an artwork depicting the subject matter of a star. The artist’s choice of a star, relates to his continuous search for hope, especially in a time of a global crisis. During the World Economic Forum, we saw Prince Charles’s proposition for posterity, The Great Reset Project. A path toward naturalism and sustainability. It is during this period that leaders should muster up the courage, to not cower from the tall orders and big problems surrounding society, but to shine forth, to take the bull by the horn, and address the issues and rebuild the economy with determination, resilience, and hard work. The inspiring speech on the environment has remained a great influence to this work created by the artist. The idea of a star, has a long tradition, in baffling stargazers, on the mysteries of the universe, in providing pathways for a seekers journey. From the time of the Babylonians, to Ptolemy, Archimedes ,Copernicus; all seeking answers in the stars. It is with this sense, that leaders provide a sort of direction, as individual stars, composed upon a deep dark space, to guide the many, who are weary , but are willing to follow. The star unites the people, into reaching a similar goal, chartering their course, giving direction to the long voyages and journeys, in reaching the destination / promised land. The encrusted star also exemplifies the infinite possibilities in every individual, to contribute to a new found hope for society.
