Organic Wreath #1 Print

The prints of this artwork have been featured internationally, from a luxury hotel brand in Big Island, Hawaii, to a public space exhibition at Regent's Park Station (London, UK). The original artwork was acquired for a private collection but the prints are made available for purchase via Saatchi Art. Inspired by organic cells, celestial structures, coral reefs and woodland, the artist uses ink and collage techniques to imitate and amplify nature. The aim is to create visual elements that have a natural aesthetic and quality. Due to the qualities of the materials used, the process of making is very fluid and alive; the resulting elements are partly calculation and partly chance. Just like in nature, every element is unique and cannot be repeated. Cutouts, made alongside the ink elements, both echo and contrast them. They serve as an allusion to the fragility of our nature. The artwork evokes a sense of meditative calm and serenity. It attracts a viewer with its alive-like quality, as the shadows move depending on how light changes during the day.
