ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I love to create hand stitched pieces depicting the natural world around me. I hand stitched this cheeky little robin from upcycled fabrics, including the fabric frame. I used sewing machine thread for the hand stitching and built up the detail with layers of different colours. I work with mainly recycled and upcycled fabrics, which I source from charity shops and unwanted fabric sample books and fabric and textiles that people donate to me.
