About The Artwork
Inspired by an Artist's Brief by Bombay Sapphire; I created this new artwork as part of my series - Aegean Dreamers; A Citron Kind of Summer speaks to the effortlessness of the long dreamy days and the vibrance of summer sunlight as it kisses us with its promises. My digital girls are part of my Aegean Dreamers series where women move freely in their own dreamy worlds - she gazes, purposefully and yet nonchalantly back at the viewer. She owns her space. I love to work in the vibrant colours possible with digital art. The subject matter of Femmes is a favourite of mine. I have always drawn girls - My world is one where women rule their space. I seek to reflect the freedom all women in a world undefined or dominated by others. The style is one I work in often; Illustrative, pop art, stylized poses and vibrant, emotive colours. These luscious, velvety colours work so beautifully on paper. All my artwork is on the finest quality archival fine art paper and comes framed by a master framer and ready to hang.
