This piece was inspired by a dream I had as a child. Back then, there was a governmental initiative to send a child to space although I wasn’t lucky enough to be chosen, my dream was not curbed. Years later, as an artist, I thought I could bring my old dream forward into reality in the only way I could, on canvas. Looking at this piece makes me feel more of the yearning I had as a child, it makes me want to be the subject of the piece, up in space discovering new and wondrous things. I hope this piece can invoke the yearnings of your childhood. I chose the digital medium to convey my feelings because it is a fluid one. I believe it to be the best medium to bring out the realistic and fantastical elements of my imagination.
