Crossing the bridge Print - Limited Edition of 6

This is a high quality unframed canvas artwork produced for me by my fine art publisher. I started with a scene which had a fence on the left, a conventional pavement and grass going off into the distance. It looked really good so I photographed it. But what I really wanted was no grass going into the distance and a fence on the right so it is a tunnel like merge to deep into the picture. This gives it a great depth of field. Having removed things in the distance that I did not like I then had to put in the contrasting pebble stones. That takes a long time, there are joins to get the length and the stones have to go smaller.Then all stones along the joins have to be shaped to blend in. After that I pick the two females. I wanted them holding hands so change their arms and hands to achieve this. All because I liked the initial picture but as ever it was not ideal.
