A photorealistic recreation of Ghana's first Prime Minister, Kwame Nkrumah, celebrating independence with his officials. This piece pays homage not only to the freedom won for Ghana, but also to the free spirit inherently born in Ghanaians. "Since 1957" is rewritten to read "Since 19 kojo ho ho", which is an old Ghanaian expression that loosely translates as "Since forever". The message here is that although history books say Ghana has been free since 1957, we say Ghana's spirit has been free since forever. Since 19 kojo ho ho.
