About The Artwork
This is based on my own guitar which I struggled to produce a decent tune on …not for the lack of trying, I just didn’t have the musical skill . But I still loved the guitar, both the shape and the sound. I love Spanish guitar music and attended a John William concert in Glor concert hall, Ennis Ireland when he toured. And I also attended a fantastic Rodrigo y Gabriela concert also at the Glor, early on in their career. The colour was influenced by the vibrancy of Gabriela and Rodrigo’s playing.

Martin Rayman grew up in Georgetown, Guyana. He studied in UK and returned to Guyana to teach at the University of Guyana. He studied sculpture briefly at the Centro d'arte Verrocchio in Tuscany, but is mainly a self taught artist. He is interested in / has worked in areas of painting, sculpture, science, mathematics, software, design and music. He now lives near the West Coast of Ireland.
