The series of images entitled "The Essence Unveiled" represents a powerful exploration of the female figure through a surreal pictorial representation of the deformed body. The images do not show the female body realistically, but dissect it into anatomical parts, creating an effect of dissociation. However, the feeling of dehumanization is actually a representation of the concept that the essence of women is not external but internal. The idea that the female body is a manifestation of her soul and personality is expressed through a surreal representation of the body, which at times dissolves and mutates, deforming and transforming into unusual and fantastic forms. The way the series represents the female body offers a reflection on the theme of liberation from submission. The images show a female figure escaping social conventions and roles assigned by society, refusing to be defined by her anatomical parts or physical beauty. In this way, the body is presented as a symbol of freedom, whose true essence lies in the woman's soul. The common thread of the book, present in each image, gives the series a broader meaning. The book becomes a symbol of knowledge and culture, instruments of liberation and emancipation for people. The presence of the book invites the viewer to reflect on issues of subjugation, liberation and social redemption, referring to its function as a means of acquiring new knowledge and ideas. In this way, the series becomes a profound investigation into the condition of women and the need for cultural liberation as a tool for personal and social transformation.

Marco Mattiuzzi's training began when he attended a creative photography course held by Fiorenzo Rosso and Serena Leale, who oriented him towards the "artistic" photo. With techniques such as solarization, toning, tinting and various manipulations, he obtains images between painting and photography. Later he deepens the language of images during annual courses of professional photography with Bruna Orlandi, Alessandra Attianese and Pier Angelo Cavanna. He has exhibited in art galleries in both solo and group exhibitions, ZOOM has published his portfolio and his work has been reviewed in newspapers and magazines. Fiorenzo Rosso wrote about him: "The reproduction of the negative is not the final stage of the process, but the beginning, or rather the continuation of a path that will end, for the author, only after a long work of manual intervention". He has collaborated with Photographie Magazine and Disegno e Pittura, as well as newspapers with critical reviews on painters and photographers. He deals with art and communication in many forms, from music to literature, from photography to virtual reality, with writings regularly published on online cultural portals and on major social networks. For some years now he has replaced the camera and darkroom with the computer, creating virtual sets in 3D from which he obtains images for further processing and manipulation.
