"No Name 2" is part of a transformative series titled "Individual Perspective." To me, “No Name2” represents a profound emotional disconnect that has affected our interactions with other human beings. I also get a profound sense of emptiness from this painting, like an impenetrable barrier has formed shielding the canvas from any meaningful emotional engagement, which is conveyed from the scattered droplets of paint cast around in random directions, as if the implied message is, “I choose to hide who I truly am and wish not to be discovered.” The artwork highlights the discourse of the internal turmoil we often create within ourselves as a defense mechanism against forging any genuine connections. In my opinion, this painting is a depiction of how we much rather neglect all meaningful connections rather than risk experiencing a genuine connection in order to save ourselves from the potential vulnerability and pain that can be inflicted by those same genuine connections. This series aims to push the boundaries of our understanding, urging us to contemplate life's intricate concepts within our existence and surrounding environment, while encouraging the exchange of viewpoints. This, in turn, will foster a meaningful discussion about self-perception and empathy towards others.
