About The Artwork

The Cubist painting features a woman seamlessly integrated with aquatic elements—a fish and an octopus—within a dynamic representation of waves. The artist employs the Cubist style, characterized by the fragmentation of form into geometric facets and the simultaneous depiction of various perspectives. The female figure, rendered in bold red and blue hues, is abstracted into geometric shapes and angular planes, exemplifying the distinct Cubist aesthetic. The incorporation of a fish and octopus adds a surreal and fantastical dimension to the composition. These marine creatures may be portrayed with angular, segmented forms, enhancing the overall abstract and geometric quality of the artwork. The background depicts stylized waves using a combination of red and blue tones. The waves are fragmented into geometric patterns, contributing to the sense of movement and energy within the composition. The choice of red and blue colors intensifies the visual impact, creating a vibrant and contrasting palette that captures the viewer's attention. The overall composition invites viewers to explore the interplay between the human form and marine life through the lens of Cubism. The use of red and blue colors, combined with geometric abstraction, results in a visually striking and emotionally evocative artwork, where the fusion of the woman, fish, octopus, and waves creates a harmonious yet dynamic visual narrative.

My name is Elena, and i'm an artist. I was born and raised in a very picturesque and beautiful place in the north of Moldova. It's giving me a lot of ideas and knowledge, that i transforming in my artwork.I'm perceiving a process of the art creation as my personal cult and intimate ritual wich gives me a freedom of expression. My artwork is an allegorical interpretation of human nature, existence, expiriences. It's a meaningful story told in the form of symbolic figures and interactions between them, filled with intellectual messages delivered in aestetical form. But now the main theme of my art is a study of the architypes of a woman. It's performed by the recreation of female images from different sources around me. The choise of this subject is stipulated by a continuous self-study, as an artist and as a woman. Depicting female figures in my artworks,i'm placing them in the most unusual settings coming from the depth of my subconsciousness. In art is the way to show emotions, philosophy and perception of the world i see. In my artwork i usually daring specks and bald bright colors for vital force. Being in a constant search, i find inspiration in different personalities and perios of art history, starting from classical art, continuing with artwork by Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali and with book and other.
