About The Artwork

I doubted for a long time whether to put this picture here or not. Still, not all people will unequivocally accept this art of mine ... So that's it. This picture sparked a heated discussion at the end of 2020 in the LGBT forums. "The problem of choice is not a problem!" It's about how gender lines are erased. How the world is changing, how we are changing. What used to be considered a problem is now just a choice. Personal. That's cool! The picture is for adults who understand. But this painting can also be seen as a simple abstract combination of colors and shadows. Without an emphasis on deep meaning. I was inspired by photography of fragment of another painting of mine, but I painted the picture in my own way. In the author's technique. using digital technology instead of a brush and pencil. In the modern world, the range of drawing tools has expanded. A digital program is just like a paintbrush for an artist. I am constantly experimenting with lines. I lay out the fragments of my photographs on separate lines, then I collect them in a different order. The result is fantastic! You can order the original printed on canvas, on high quality photo paper or on an aluminum plate. Original will be sent with a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity in tube.Without stretcher, without frame, without mounting elements. You can choose a beautiful frame in any baguette workshop near your home. The original will be carefully packed and sent by fast postal service. You can also order a print at a low price in excellent quality (without the author's signature). You can also choose the size you need. Iryna Calinicenco (Cairyna), 1984 Ukraine/Moldova. Iryna works at the intersection of Mixed Media and New Media techniques - by combining drawing, photography, collage and exposure to chemicals on the drawing. Plus the final digital manipulation. In Iryna's work over the years one can notice an increasing bias toward realism, an accent on semi-figurative images. She depicts distortions, as she does not believe in straightness and flatness of all things. Combines photography, drawing, and digital manipulation to emphasize structure and detail previously unnoticed by anyone else. Shows the difference between reality and her understanding of the image of reality, and proves that the truth is always subjective. Iryna's paintings are mostly semi-figurative, stylized to a greater or lesser extent, gravitating toward abstract aesthetics and naive imagery. Line and color are presented as something prevailing over form. It is a kind of play with the imagination and a flirtation with the viewer's fantasy. Working at the intersection of abstraction and figurativeness, using unusual materials, Iryna does not seek external harmony and beauty of the image, she plays with perspective and canons. In this way she reformats the viewer's aesthetic and emotional space from "I like - I don't like" to "I accept - I don't accept". In her works, Iryna emphasizes the duality of perception, encouraging the viewer to think and search for a different meaning. Get into the game and fantasize together with Cairyna!
