Traditional Buddhist thangka artwork of beautiful White Tara, Goddess of Mercy and Compassion with deity qualities renowned for longevity, good health and clearing of obstacles. Completed in a month's retreat with prayers and meditations, a long-held contemplative dedication was released through art. Simple steps of focusing on one small part each day led to an eventual clarity of unfolding complexity of the work. Such is the profound effect on approach to life. I choose to digitally hand-draw using Procreate app because I like the versatility and ease of digital art, including the use of digitally altered images for interesting background effects. As an artistic accredited spiritual director and Buddhist chaplain, I often engage in prayer through the arts. May the artwork bless each viewer with a glimpse of their own inner White Tara.
