Most people hang onto all their possessions, and as a result, they are prisoners in their own houses, tied to mortgages and jobs to pay the banks. At the age of 18, I learned the hard way, what a bind possessions were, lugging massive boxes of LP records from one shitty bedsit to another. I sold them all off. In fact, I got rid of all my possessions. What I couldn't sell, I gave away. I became a minimalist. At one point, all my possessions fitted in a rucksack. Even now, at the age of 57, I keep it minimal. Right now, travelling for a year round Asia, still living out of a rucksack (though, admittedly, I have 12 plastic crates in a shed in the Highlands of Scotland). I had a major purge of possessions at the age of 30, before heading off on my pilgrimage to Iona and Findhorn. This drawing reflected that time!
