About The Artwork
This piece was part of a solo show called "hey toots!" A lot of the illustrations were collaged with my favourite candy wrappers and was inspired from sitting in kensington market in toronto during pedestrian sunday when all the streets in the market were closed off to cars. I sat across my favourite bulk food shop where I just purchased a bagful of sweets when my girlfriend showed up while i was holding a tootsie roll. This piece was came to me after buying a donut at tim hortons...."always fresh" were the key words to make me giggle.
