About The Artwork

As i say:“If you want to start start whith the borsch”! That artwork is the part of my “Winner’s food collection».In this collection i want to show, how varied and unique ukrainan culture could be. Also the name of collection means hope, that Ukraine will stand and win at the end! • The borsch it’s symbol of ukrainian cuisine. Originally it prepared from: broth, potatoes, cabbage, beet and tomatoes. But it varies… Often garnished with sour cream and dill. Our national symbol was included in the list of UNESCO monuments as an intangible cultural heritage. • In terms of drawing style, I’m still looking for myself. Now I like to combine angular and soft shapes. Tempera is a unusual material in modern art and I like how it reveals its potential when you cover it with varnish.
