ES Esta obra, indudablemente, fue inspirada por el artista mexicano José Guadalupe Posada y su famosa “Catrina”. Siempre me ha fascinado la estética de los esqueletos, los cráneos, y los grabados e ilustraciones antiguas; y esta pieza toma mucha inspiración de todo eso. Además, me encanta la idea de un esqueleto viviente, exageradamente ataviado, jugando a las cartas y apostando!! EN This piece was undoubtedly inspired by mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada and his now famous "Catrina". I've always been fascinated by the aesthetics of skeletons, skulls, and antique engravings and illustrations; and this piece draws a lot of inspiration from that. Also, I love the idea of an overly-dressed, animated skeleton playing cards and bluffing!! ng!!
