About The Artwork

Ginkgo Flower is my first mandala of inspiration. I had just come out of a long period of creative desert and had just discovered the art of zentangle. Zentangle is a method of relaxation and concentration which allows you to meditate by drawing structured and repetitive patterns in a 9x9 cm square. This exercise allowed me to overcome my fears as an artist and reconnect with my creativity. I was inspired by this technique to make Fleur de Gingko.

Born in 1969 to philosophical parents, I benefit from an early opening to the Arts, Culture and spirituality. Initiated by my mother, I am particularly influenced by the great masters of the Renaissance : Gustave Moreau, Klimt, Dali and oriental cultures. My taste for the great myths of the world, the quest for the Grail and existential questions about life, death and spirituality color my entire life and inspire my creativity. From my childhood, drawing took an important place, I participate in several collective school projects, explore different mediums and, as a teenager, search for myself alongside a budding obsession with line. I exhibit in a gallery for the first time at the age of 18 and wonder about my future. Torn between art studies and a strong need for independence, I choose to freely develop my creativity outside of any framework and school, and turne to a liberal activity in the health sector. After 12 years, my compelling need to create led me tocrafts, glasswork and learning its techniques (thermoforming and thermogluing). Encouraged by my husband, I train in the Villepinte workshops and open my own art glass workshop. I collaborate with the largest goldsmith house in Toulouse (FELIX Frères) and participate in several exhibitions in France. In 2004, I cross the Atlantic to further my training at the Montreal Glass Center. I exhibit at the MozaikArt Gallery and my works are exhibited also in Chicago. Then, overtaken by inner demons which limit me in the marketing of my art, I fall back on my initial profession, close my workshop and stop all artistic practice. I continue my personal development, learn to let go, to transcend my obstacles and personal limits and train myself in NonViolent Communication. At the same time, I develop an activity as a trainer-facilitator which gradually leads me to regain confidence and reconnect with my creativity. I find myself drawing, playing with mediums, improving my skills and creating my first inspirational paintings. In 2020, my dough asserts itself, my style is confirmed. I finally allow myself to devote myself regularly to painting, to bring my signature and no longer depend on copies. I live and work in my workshop in Cugnaux, in the southwest of France.
