Edith Sandhofer is an Austrian artist. After studying at the Higher Graphical Federal Teaching and Research Institute and the master class in Vienna, she worked as a graphic artist and draftsman, and later also in the multimedia sector producing computer animations. Edith is a member of the Austrian Artists' Association and regularly takes part in exhibitions. As a qualified art therapist, knowledge of mental processes flows into her art as a resonance. In the artistic creative process, various media are used experimentally (painting, drawing, computer art, photography and other forms of expression). In her works after 2019, Edith Sandhofer more an more deals thematically with people and their bodies as a real place in which an "I" lives.The body is part of its environment. This can be expressed very well through Edith's wire figures. The images deal with the natural world, which enables us to find our way and exist, and the virtual fantasy spaces of perception.
