Paola Mantilla is a classically trained artist. She graduated in 2016 from College of Art Diego Quispe Tito of Cuzco, Peru where she spent six years abroad studying classical realism. Paola is one of the first contemporary artists to focus on Neo-Baroque artwork inspired by wild animals. There is a breath of individual emotion and personality inside the paintings, with color and textures as if the animals´ souls were captured in the paintings. Her work is the definition of both labor and love. my first to spotlight the Charcoal & oil paint method and centers her artwork on textures of animals`skins and human skin, as such capturing the life, drama and integrity of traditional oil paintings combined with copper and gold.
