Description: This pen and ink drawing is my interpretation of Chief Crazy Horse the famous Native American Sioux leader based on looking at one photographic interpretation of him. Yet to this day no one knows if Crazy Horse ever had his likeness photographed. Original drawn using black India ink and a fine-line pen point on Strathmore board in 1987. This Photoshop version done 2010.

United States
Soon after I was born in Santa Ana, California in 1939 my family and over 12,000 other Japanese Americans were evacuated to relocation camps until WW 2 was over. When I was 10 years old I lived almost independently until I got married in 1971. At age 14 my art teacher encouraged me to explore my artistic potential and teach my peers to become better artist. Since then I have continued to explore the unlimited potentual of drawing and painting as a means of creating and composing visual images that have an essential life energy we all possess. I am grateful to be able to learn from the many past great master artists and witness what today's contemporary artist are creating every day.
