About The Artwork
I really enjoyed my time working on this piece, each stroke of shade made the person come alive. I mainly used Faber Castell for mg whole work with paper stumps to help me blend the skin. I always give importance to the eye for all my portraits as they really talk to the viewers. This actor was always my inspiration and getting to sketch his portrait was really great and is relly special to me as this is the first of the many portraits I started. Monochrome sketches provides you with details that won't be found in a coloured sketch. This was sketched on an A3 paper, taking almost about 30h. Laminated and framed with narrow borders. This will be a great piece to be hung on the wall with a hook behind the frame itself.

My name is Tarun Thomas Jose. I was born in Kerala, India but was brought up in Kuwait. Did all my schooling in Kuwait itself. I currently live in Kerala, India with my parents. I never did study any art, I was self taught through trial and error. Would always look into pictures and make myself draw them...it took me many trials to get somewhere near the pic at first. But gradually got better at it. Art was always something that I carried along from a small age, it used to give me pleasure and lighten my mood on drawing.
