About The Artwork
The lobster came to me when I was asked to make illustrations for a cookbook of a friend of mine. As with all my line drawing I wish to capture the spirit of my subject. Maybe he's a little cheeky, or a little bit shy. I like to find the personality of any subject and capture its essence in as little lines a possible. Look at that happy crustacean! For my line drawings I prefer to use ink. That material always has a way of surprising me and making the lines feel fresh and truthful.
