About The Artwork
Inspired by my father, who ironically hates cats. This piece is a portrait of what I would expect him to look like as an animal. Father is a philosopher, so often during my childhood, He would read on the front porch and smoke his pipe. Hence, the cat with a pipe. However, the cat in the drawing has an angry expression and my father is a very warm welcoming man. That's where I played with the idea of him hating cats and projected the personality he thinks cats have into the drawing.
