About The Artwork
After many hours and notebooks filled with 30 second gesture drawings, I finally found a place to practice life drawing in person and not from the comfort of my own home. This is one of my very early life drawings and it is apparent because of all the loose sweeping lines. Minimalism is at the center of my life drawings. I only like to include what is important. Even at the beginning of my life drawing career, the tendency to leave out faces has slowly become a habit, and it is apparent in this piece. The drawing depicts a male in a running pose. Drawn using compressed black charcoal. I am stubborn. I like being straight to the point.
