Through pastel-coloured dream-scapes and misty dunes, contrasted with sometimes eerie, carnival marquees and inflatable structures, my series captures the tension between joyous escapism and the melancholy of nostalgia. The work holds a mirror to the stark dualities of our current era, where the utopian veneer of curated digital lives clashes with the dystopian realities of environmental decline and societal challenges, inviting viewers to contemplate our collective journey through these polarised times.
