About The Artwork

Nautilus," along with the other seven pieces, belongs to the "Metaphoric Biostructures" series. Performed in a NeuroDesign style proposed by a PhD, Prof. P. Pikkarev, these drawings aim to deepen our understanding of the human being, among other creatures, and the Universe as a whole. Nautilus is "as old as the World." Its sophisticated inner structure teases humans with the idea of autonomy—getting inside oneself, diving deeply, and staying indifferent to any triumph or misfortune. It is anesthetic and enigmatically beautiful.

Ksenia Mazheyko was born in 1981 in Russia in a family of scientists. She got a degree in Philosophy and, shortly after graduation, became a demanded Translator and, later, a Conference Interpreter for Life Sciences. Medicine and Pharma have been her specializations for almost 20 years. In 2023, she completed a Neurographica© Instructor course, which inspired her to resume her art classes, started back in her teen years, and get closer to the perennial questions via art and self-reflection. In 2024, she is a student of the Madrid Academy of Art and working on her first project as a science artist dedicated to the mystery of human Life.
