About The Artwork
Like most artists, I am non - dogmatic in my views of the universe. In yogic mysticism there is a Sanskrit concept in which I spell it as Prakrtii. Expressed in English, it means ‘primordial energy’ and so I think of it as the ancient field of energy which predates the Quantum field. I love the concept of The Ghost In The Machine, and believe that this one is what we understand it to be - functionally in English. It is said that the spiritual evolution of practicing meditators from the Sanskrit mysticism are 100,000 years beyond the consciousness of ‘The New World’ and this seems correct to me. The idea behind this pen & ink ball point pen illustration is that if we are aligned correctly then even our technologies are dialed in to Love. Like Yoda says ‘and a powerful ally it is’

It has been said that the other is the creator, bridging the channeler or the maker. I believe the mind is a kind of storm, that imports all manners of phenomena. My interests are garnered from green energy, ecology and beings, so my illustrations attempt to pick up on those things from my view. I am a lifelong resident of the vast sagebrush ocean, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains just below Lake Tahoe. My mother placed a print of Picasso’s Guernica above my crib in the Redwoods of California where I was born. That explains my fear / desire dynamic in part - of my psyche, and why I love the beauty of architecture and gardens where peace may be obtained.
