About The Artwork

When I think about the nature of our reality, I go back to some of the books on quantum physics from the 1970s and 1980s. The books I was most interested in tied theoretical physics to metaphysics and Eastern religion. When I was reading Gary Zukav's "The Dancing Wu Li Masters," I learned that wu li means "patterns of organic energy." I was intrigued by that phrase, and an image formed and combined itself with my rudimentary understanding of a probability wave. That how this image evolved. There may be no "truth" to this depiction, but I'm the artist, and I can illustrate the idea to please myself! TO THE COLLECTOR: If you are requesting a print of this drawing, I suggest that you choose 100% of the size of the drawing, which would be no larger than a paper size of 24" x 16". This will ensure the fidelity of the artwork. Since the edges of the drawing are deckled, or irregular, consider matting or framing the print to leave the deckled edges showing, with a 1/2"-3/4" (or wider) gap of white paper as a margin.

I'm an artist living in the foothills west of Denver, Colorado. I've worked as an illustrator, a graphic designer, and a college educator. I love to read about psychology, spirituality, and quantum physics. When it comes to physics, though, I know nothing about the mathematics, but I am intrigued by the implications of new (and old) theories. What might a probability wave look like? What does "the field" look like? As an artist, it's my job to imagine...
