About The Artwork
The work represents the antipodes of the mind, or the most recondite areas of the human psyche. The inspiration was born for the book, "The Doors of Perception" by Aldous Huxley. I quote a part that I think is the most suitable to describe the work: "... in the antipodes of the mind we are more or less free of language, outside the conceptual thinking system. Consequently, our perception of visionary objects pose all freshness and all the naked intensity of experiences that were never expressed verbally ... ". As for the executive part, I divided the work into two parts: a purely instinctive part, in which I threw colours on the floor as much as possible by following my instinct, a second part in which I represented that which for me is the antipodes of mind, described by Huxley.
