About The Artwork
It's easy to understand who inspired me this drawning: Ron Mueck, Mask II. That's a sculpture, mine is a drawning. It's called "The stone" because in Italian when a person sleeps deeply, it is said to sleep like a stone. I think it suits the shape of this head. This drawing on canvas is hung on the wall in a very particular way. The panel is mounted on a swivel arm for televisions. This allows the picture to remain detached from the wall as if it was suspended in the air. The canvas can be oriented right or left or stay attached to the wall as a normal frame. The effect is very spectacular!
