hand weaving is a very painstaking work that requires patience, effort and accuracy. During the weaving process, you need to be very careful, any extra thread can distort the pattern. I used acrylic and woolen threads in my work. Each color scheme consists of threads of different colors and shades, which complicates the colors, conveying airiness and lightness. The work was shown at the exhibition only once and was kept at my house for a long time and was never put up for sale. This tapestry depicts a Kazakh family: a father, a mother, and a baby in mother's arms. "Shanyrak" above the camel's head represents family, unity, and the wheel below symbolizes life. Soft shapes and smooth color transitions give the viewer a sense of peace, harmony and tenderness. The tapestry was created for the family, because at the very beginning of the process my sister got married, and at the last stages I met my husband. I hope it brings peace and joy to the new owner too. The work is framed with a wooden rail and staples from a stapler on top, can be re-arranged if desired.
