Blue Burqa plays on our fears and biases. When we see a burqa we respond with fear and misunderstanding. This work elevates the headpiece into an icon of the likes of the Turin Shroud. This is a multi-layered set of lightbox prints illuminated by LED. The resulting blue is one which couldn't be created by paint, it is electric blue.
