ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Like the Dada and Surrealist artists, I'm inspired by chance and the subconscious. I make lines on the canvas that follow the rhythm of my mood and then I turn the flat shapes into, sometimes impossible, forms. I enjoy the way that pareidolia can turn forms into recognizable objects. Ultimately the work is subjective and meaning can be decided by the viewer. I am working in digital oil which has a painterly feel and, in places, a realistic impasto texture
