Hundreds of pièces of paper, that's what a collage of Marie-Gaëlle de Terwangne is made of. Her Art work is a study of the beauty of a city, night life, human figure or sometimes reflection on the aesthetics of fashion, however always recognisable by its fearless sense of play. Just like a painter, the artist uses these fragments of light to create a constrating powerful image. Whilst being seen very close, the Art work unveils the luxuriousness of the paper used in the compositions. You would distinguish words, pièces of sentences - all lost in the polychrome mass. When, moving away, the image is exposed to the light - its elements suddenly rip off, creating a radically new space. The artist's unique technique emerged out of more than ten years of experiments with oïl and watercoulour painting. Marie-Gaëlle de Terwangne studied art in C.A.D., where her passion for pop art, 3D and expressionism pushed her towards her creations of today.
