My name is Jay As a person who has been influenced by art since childhood. I love religious art illustration and stained glass of church, as they have a history. Each one provides a unique piece of history that is preserved and displayed. Through the light, the colourful light spots are refracted, which always gives me a sense of beauty beyond time and space and soothes the soul. It always fires my imagination. So, I tried to apply this feeling to my illustration creation, and found a medium that can also produce luster through the refraction of light—silk embroidery. Although it takes a long time to create with silk thread compared to painting, and it takes about 300 hours or even longer for a each artwork, I will become more focused and calmer during the creation process. I used to feel that the relationship between people was too indifferent, but in fact I used to treat the people around me in the same indifferent way. There is a theory in Buddhism: the environment is born from the heart, which means that the world you feel and see is the image refracted in your heart. All of my creations use angels as the theme. I only choose angels because he can always give people good hope and spiritual comfort. Therefore, I hope that every piece of work created by the Japanese can become a carrier to open people's hearts. And have a sense of mission. My goal is to donate part of the proceeds from every painting sold to charities - UK AGE, RSPCA, CHILDREN IN NEED and LONDON'S AIR AMBULANCE. In such a rapidly evolving and volatile environment, I got mission as an artist, which is to make more people feel calm and happy through my own works.
