This paint is part of the "Blooming Orchids" series and was inspired by the painters own backyard at the beginning of Spring, when the flowers start showing their beautiful colors. Garcia Freundt's "LABS" are small paintings on cradled wood panels that she usually work on at the same time with bigger paints, so they 'talk' to each other bringing new ideas to the conversation. She uses different materials beside regular acrylic paint (all fine art quality) to create texture: acrylic paint markers, water soluble wax pastels, ink pencils, watercolor pencils and charcoal. All her paints have a finish archival varnish to seal all materials and protect the piece. Also, she works with 1.5 inches profile wood panels that she paint all around the sides so all pieces can be display without a frame. Ideally this pieces should be installed in groups and in different configurations to make a colorful and bold statement. Also they can be use as Art Objects since can be stand on their solid sides.

Carolina Garcia is a Miami-based artist working with Watercolors, Acrylics and Mixed Media on paper, wood and canvas. She spent her teenage years attending classes at local art studios in Lima - the city where she grew up - learning various mediums such as drawing, painting, sewing and sculpting and experimenting with different materials. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, her artistic path took her from designing newspapers and editing magazines to designing clothing and later handmade jewelry. But it wasn’t until she turned 50 that she committed herself to a daily art practice and went back to her first love: painting. She takes inspiration from every day life experiences and the way they are processed by our mind in order to express - or suppress - our feelings, expectations and dreams. Her approach to abstract art is totally intuitive; she doesn’t have an idea of the final piece as she is creating it. She believes in using her intuition as a catalyst to materialize visions from the unconscious mind. Her paints are in private collections around the United States and in Lima, Peru. She also shares what she learned throughout the years - from countless teachers and from her own experience - by running creativity workshops to help others express their own uniqueness and feel the joy of art creation.
