Step into the vibrant world of Late Night at the Diner, where nostalgia meets contemporary hustle in this captivating mixed media abstract painting. Inspired by the iconic aesthetic of 60s diners and infused with the spirit of pop art, this piece is a visual symphony of contrasting elements. At first glance, the background draws you in with its mesmerizing resemblance to a photo negative of a retro diner. Imagine yourself transported to a bygone era, surrounded by neon lights and pop art posters adorning the walls, each telling a story of its own. Yet, amidst this nostalgic backdrop, a striking figure emerges in the foreground – a young woman, the epitome of resilience and determination. With a gaze filled with determination and hope, she embodies the essence of a college student on a mission. Despite the long hours and endless studying required to pursue her dreams, she finds solace in the simple pleasures of a late-night stop at the diner. Through a masterful blend of abstract expressionism and figurative art, the artist captures the complexity of the human experience. Each brushstroke and collage element speaks volumes about the intersecting paths of ambition and nostalgia, of dreams and reality. Whether you're drawn to the bold colors, the intricate details, or the compelling narrative woven into every layer of the canvas, Late Night at the Diner invites you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and reflection. Own a piece of contemporary art that sparks conversation and inspires imagination. Exploration and innovation form the basis of my artwork. I don’t believe in the conventional practice of creating a very cohesive body of work, where the art pieces are like siblings dressed in similar clothes. I alternate between traditional paintings and digital drawings using common geometrical concepts as my building blocks. Throughout millennia, lines, triangles, pyramids, spheres and other geometric tools have been fundamental to art as well as architecture. I often start a project from a mental image by exploring new ways of combining these shapes, discarding many creations along the way until I have an evocative piece. A true work of art to me is one that interacts with its viewer in an intimate way; a meditative piece that promotes different emotions every time it’s seen. Each one of us leads a uniquely complex life, and how we experience art is quite personal. One size does not fit all, and this has been an important factor in the success of abstract art forms. My art is abstract, expressive, and sometimes conceptual. However, I have no interest in labels, or categorizations. Alongside each art piece, I may drop a few hints, clues to my original thought process; the rest of the experience is entirely up to the viewer.
