This is part of a mask series that I did, first as paintings. All of my ‘MASK’ paintings and prints are influenced by the face we show, when in public. About how our experiences leave a mark, and feelings do show, even when we try to hide them. It’s also about we live in a culture where we still are expected to not reveal our authentic selves, nor our actual feelings. How our own individual suffering, is actually done in isolation; even though it is a human condition that we all go through individually. In one way or another. Some of us suffer greatly, or more than others; and some of us can’t hide it as well as others can.
