ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Overwhelmed is an original digital painting inspired by the feeling the day after the American election of 2016.The fears that were running through my mind all came to pass. I would hope the viewers feel the stress of being surrounded by strong rushing forces. I choose to create my art on a digital platform because of the spontaneous response to my creative thought. It permits me to change, add, and subtract in real time as my creative thoughts evolve. As a citizen of this world, politics, social conditions, and the environment are important sources of inspiration for my art. I need a voice and choose to express it visually. The style is general abstract, minimal, geometric and expressive. Since digital programs are my palette, brushes, and portfolio I choose to print my art on High Definition Aluminum. It represents the best, most accurate reflection of my original digital concepts.
