ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Work made with metallic paints, colored pencils and collage of tree leaves (aroeira and timbó), is a reflection on how pain can produce beauty. The roots of the poppy are like a difficulty, which comes from the inside out, trapping the fox's snout and at the same time blinding it, leaving it very defenseless. However, from these roots you have a plant with a vigorous flower, the result of all this agony, signaling that there can be good things (learning, connections, life changes) in the midst of pain. To the fox's relief, a calm rain falls on him, symbolizing divine encouragement, as God does not abandon his children in the ordeal.

Delicate arts in traditional mixed media, creating unique textures with paints, colored pencils and pastels. Experience working with arts linked to animals and nature, focused on portraits and illustrations. I'm self-taught, I learned by making mistakes, reading books, observing and talking to artists. I like working with various textures and I don't like using just one type of material in my work, I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but it's mine and I like it. I really love God's Creation, after all it is my greatest inspiration. I also appreciate the Old Disney style, with its talking animal films, Studio Ghibli and the impressionist movement (although I think my art doesn't carry many elements of the latter). I practice the violin, and sometimes the sheet music becomes the target of my pencils and paints. Maybe I'm not even an artist, just a free spirit, I don't know how to differentiate between these two.
