About The Artwork

This artwork was produced on four sheets of Arches 300 lb. watercolor paper. The premise was to create a simple composition of geometric color shapes. I began by striking a perspective layout with a construction chalk line. These became the basis for rendering volume with flat watercolor areas. I worked in some textural areas w acrylic spray paint. The piece finally came together with the use of Speedball process color block printing inks. Their transparent quality intensified the underlying color.
