About The Artwork

Left brain versus right brain. Technology versus art. Logic versus intuition. Engineers versus artists. Structure versus nature. The two rarely meet. But once in a while, they do... as in my recent artwork. Technology - they use microcontrolled machines. A 3d printer and a CNC router - assembled by yours truly. Along with resin casting, stencils and spray paint technology. Art - created on plexiglass, using plastics, PVC, resin, acrylic and enamel paints. Because they use technology, the costs to make multiple pieces is much cheaper. These are 3d artworks, as they project out of the plexiglass. They are mounted on special screws (included). The transparency of plexiglass gives the artwork a floating appearance. Very modern and clean.

BOLD, INNOVATIVE, TREND SETTING, ECLECTIC. A melding of engineering and the arts. A US citizen of Indian origin living in the Chinese artist village Songzhuang. An engineer by education and trade who started painting seriously after being overwhelmed with the emptiness and sterility of the modern world. Most of the change occurred during a 10 month, 4700 mile hike of the Eastern Continental Trail. The physical and mental hardships during the journey were fodder for some serious soul searching. What started as an adventure became a major turning point . It resulted in a drastic change in life style and philosophy - a rejection of the materialistic, nihilistic modern culture to a simpler, more conscious life with an optimistic philosophical stance.
